
Our restaurant has been noted for its food quality since the day we opened, December 4th, 2001. The level of cooking at Chives has only occurred because we follow the seasons so closely, in our menu creation. Guests have come to expect an ever-changing menu at Chives. Chives Canadian Bistro focuses everyday on utilizing fresh, in-season, and local product in our menus. We look first to Nova Scotia for our ingredient base, then to the rest or the Maritimes to create our "Canadian Bistro" menus. That is why we do not serve strawberry shortcake in February! We believe that quality ingredients are essential for quality menus.
